GMS is pleased to announce that Mark Beltramello, Andrew Dolan, and Ana Gallego have been promoted to the role of Associate Partner and that Miryam Varona has been promoted to the role of Associate. In addition, GMS has welcomed Rosemarie Isleib to our team, as an Associate. We look forward to continuing to celebrate the accomplishments of these talented engineers and architects! Mark has been with GMS since 2011. He has worked on various projects at GMS including retail, banks, townhouses, and interior fit-outs. Mark is a member of ASCE, SEAoNY, AISC, and the ACE Mentoring Program. He received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University and his Master’s in Structural Engineering from Lehigh University.
Andrew has been with GMS since 2014. He has worked on a wide range of projects for both new construction and renovations. He is a registered Professional Engineer in New York, a registered Professional Civil Engineer in Alaska, and a registered Professional Structural Engineer in California. Andrew is a member of the CASE Structural Engineering Guidelines Committee and holds an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and a BS in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College.
Ana has been with GMS since 2011. She holds an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of La Coruña (Spain). She is a registered Professional Engineer in California and in Spain. Ana served on the ASCE 24 Urban Flood Study team after Hurricane Sandy and also assisted with the NYC Department of Buildings’s Sandy recovery efforts.
Miryam Varona joined GMS in 2019 as a BIM Coordinator. Her responsibilities include collaborating with Project Digital Coordinators and implementing advanced virtual design strategies, such as developing guides, templates, and dynamo routines to streamline workflow. Miryam is also in charge of evaluating and developing BIM processes, policies, protocols, and workflows.
Miryam holds a Master’s in BIM Projects, Construction and Facility Management from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, a Master’s of Architecture from Brandenburgische Technische Universitat as well as a Master’s and Bachelor of Architecture from Polytechnic University of Valladolid.
Rosemarie has over 35 years of experience in the architecture and construction industry. Rosemarie previously worked at Superstructures E&A, AECOM, Urbitran, Lawrence Rosenbloom Architect, and Smiros Architects. Rosemarie is working on several façade evaluation/repair projects and has experience in managing projects, space planning, design, and creating bid documents and proposals, along with project and construction management.
