Congratulations to both GMS Building Envelope and Structural teams for receiving project awards last week!
The Building Envelope team’s highly acclaimed project, 11 Hoyt, received AIA New York’s Architecture Honor Award. The condominium tower in Brooklyn was designed by Studio Gang, Hill West Architects, and Hollander Design Landscape Architects. Members of the GMS Team working on the project included Achim Hermes, Sara Gonzalez Rey, Angel Ramos, Susanne Mackiw, Maria Orduna, David Shea, and Ai Bui. The Structural team’s project, the rehabilitation of the Church of St. Luke and St. Matthew, received a 2023 Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award. The project was led by the renowned architectural and preservation specialists at Li · Saltzman Architects. The GMS team working on the distinctive Brooklyn church included Joe Mugford and Teodor Ispirski.
