One of the great things about working at GMS is the diverse skills and perspectives of our staff. Congratulations to several members of our Building Envelope Group #GMSFacade on their recent promotions –  Daniel Kinsley and William Hutch are promoted to Project Managers, and Sara Gonzalez, Rafael Alvarez, and Joe Raffin are promoted to Senior Building Envelope Consultants.

Sara Gonzalez is now a Senior Building Envelope Consultant and has worked with GMS since 2017. Sara’s projects include the design and inspection of the facades at 550 Washington Street, 130 William Street by Adjaye Associates, 11 Hoyt Street in Brooklyn by Studio Gang, as well as the redevelopment at 498 Seventh Avenue.

Rafael Alvarez has worked with the #GMSFacade since 2015.  His projects include the Pierhouse at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the Lantern House, at 515 West 18th Street by Heatherwick Studios, the XI on the south side of West 18th Street by BIG Architects, and 550 Clinton by Morris Adjmi. He has been promoted to Senior Building Envelope Consultant.

Daniel Kinsley joined #GMSFacade with previous experience in 2015. His current and recent projects include One Madison Avenue, 35 Hudson Yards, 550 Washington Street, 35 West 15th Street. Dan is instrumental in our program of Façade Inspection Safety Program(FISP) for several #GMSFacade clients.

William Hutch has worked at GMS since 2014 and is now a Project Manager coordinating the #GMSFacade work at 185 Broadway, One Penn Plaza, and 85 Jay Street. His previous work includes 111 Murray Street, 520 Park Avenue, and 520 West 28th Street by Zaha Hadid

Joe Raffin joined GMS in 2018 and is now a Senior Building Envelope Consultant. His recent projects include the Riu Hotel in Times Square, 785 Eighth Avenue, 46 Crown Street, and 80 Adams Street.
