Sebastian Delgado, Ph D.

Sebastian joined Gilsanz Murray Steficek in November 2019 after relocating to New York. He brings extensive experience in the design, construction, teaching, and publication of structural and civil engineering projects across a wide range of building types and materials. His background combines hands-on practice with academic and written contributions, reflecting both technical expertise and a passion for advancing the field.

Sebastian’s recent projects include a 700,000-sf residential development in Long Island City requiring coordination with NYCTA due to its proximity to subway lines; a 110,500-sf expansion of Jake’s 58 Casino & Hotel on Long Island, which incorporated a new gaming floor, event spaces, parking structure, and extensive renovations; and the renovation of nine landmarked buildings with a new 9-story office addition at 50 Ninth Avenue in Manhattan, where historic facades and party walls were carefully preserved during construction.

Sebastian is the author of several books on reinforced concrete and is licensed to practice engineering through the Colegio de Ingenieros de Venezuela and the Asociación Nicaragüense de Ingenieros y Arquitectos.
