GMS is working with Northwell Health to design a new 12,000 sf Central Utility Plant with new chillers, boilers, pumps, switchgear, cooling towers and generators. The CUP and the adjacent loading dock will be topped by a new two-story, 48,000 sf Maternity Center. The new building will be a steel framed structure built on piles and is part of NYC resiliency investments. The facility is currently under construction.
GMS is also providing structural engineering services for a new Telemetry Ward and Med-Surg Facility and has just completed Construction Documents for a new Cancer Center. Previously, GMS designed the buildings for a Linear Accelerator, Radiation Oncology, Heart Tower, Education Center and Burn Center.
