GMS provided structural engineering when the iconic Four Seasons Restaurant relocated to 280 Park Avenue; the building is located over the train tracks leading to Grand Central Terminal, so the project included acoustically isolated floors in the first-floor dining area. Additional structural work included the relocation of the building’s lobby ADA elevator, replacement of the tenant’s existing service elevator, an additional elevator in the south kitchen area, a new back-of-house stair, two new front-of-house stairs, a new canopy at the entry, and various structural supports for MEP and architectural details.
