GMS provided structural engineering and architectural services for this landmarked building located in Manhattan’s Upper East Side Landmark District. Structural engineering services included the expansion and conversion of the original 11-story, 44,000 square foot office building into a 12-story, 57,000 square foot residential building. The interior of the building was completely reconfigured while the original landmark limestone façade was left intact. Completed in July 2000.
Architectural services included the survey and restoration of the original limestone façade, which was surveyed to assess existing conditions, then documents were prepared for the repair work. GMS prepared the Cycle 6 and Cycle 7 Local Law 11 reports, and prepared documentation for façade repair work.
