GMS provided structural engineering services for the relocation of the 1199 SEIU Funds offices to 498 Seventh Avenue, consisting of approximately 575,866 sf located on floors 1-10, 16, and 22-25. The floors comprise of general office space with amenities and support spaces. The Fund’s public member spaces involved work at the ground through 4th floors which are connected by a quadruple height mosaic feature wall.
Since 1997, GMS has been involved with tenant fit-out projects at 498 Seventh Avenue. In 2012, the Owner initiated a study to improve elevator service which resulted in a full building repositioning project. GMS provided structural engineering, façade and waterproofing consulting services.
