Leopard Enclosure at the Staten Island Zoo includes a mesh roof supported by five shotcrete-covered steel “tree” columns and tied down to seven perimeter columns.  The mesh is tied down at the perimeter to the ground and to a low wall.

Our entry “Cloudy With a Chance of Tuna” wins the Best Use of Labels award at the 21st annual Canstruction NY competition. GMS is also celebrating 20 years of participation in the competition.

CAN on the Moon, our 2012 Canstruction NY entry, has been rebuilt for the lobby at 245 Park Avenue in New York for Arts Brooksfield.

Malibu Residence

A new two-story single-family residence constructed with architecturally exposed concrete shear walls and slabs, steel framing and steel and glass window walls.

McCann Erickson

GMS provided structural engineering services and special inspections for the architectural fit-out of approximately 185,000 rentable square feet over eight floors at 622 Third Avenue.  The project includes several stairs and floor openings to connect various floors including a four-story “art shaft”.

Glendale’s classical repertory company A Noise Within commissioned a 33,000 sf three-story theater built within the footprint of a partially demolished Stuart Pharmaceutical Company, the landmark designed by Edward Durell Stone. 

The new Academic and Laboratory Science Building will host teaching and research labs for physics, earth science, environmental science, molecular biology and chemistry.

Jane’s Carousel has come a long way in its 90-plus years of existence.

GMS is proud to have helped Gutai’s Artists, as well as the Curators and the Fabrication Department of the Guggenheim Museum to present Gutai – Splendid Playground.
