PS 158 – Bayard Taylor School
Built in 1898, PS 158 is a 5-story (plus cellar) primary school located in the Yorkville neighborhood of Manhattan. GMS provided structural engineering services for the extensive renovation of the façade and exterior concrete including removal, replacement, and repair of walkways and steps, repair and reinforcement of the original steel perimeter framing and repair of the built up spandrel members. The project also included roofing remediation of leaks in the basement. The renovation was completed in 2018.
