The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at JFK International Airport is a modern take on 1960’s air travel and functions as a hybrid private members club, boutique hotel lobby, restaurant and bar. It incorporates a sinuous stainless steel rod and walnut fin wall, intricate ceiling, and several raised platforms to divide the space into varying zones based on acoustic level and length of stay. GMS provided structural engineering design for this 10,000 SF renovation including interior features and support structures for new mechanical systems.
