Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at EWR
Newark, NJ
The Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at Newark International Airport expresses a funky “downtown” theme through scale and texture. A series of distinct spaces are organized around a central faceted bar. Each space references an iconic downtown typology – café, theater, art gallery, restaurant, club, bar, lounge. The bar’s geometry incorporates an abstract canopy and two skylights. GMS provided structural engineering design for this 5,000 SF renovation including interior features and support structures for new mechanical systems.
