GMS provided forensic engineering investigation and litigation support services in connection with the One Meridian Plaza fire, one of the largest high-rise office building fires in modern American history. The uncontrollable fire originated on the 22nd floor of the 38-story Philadelphia office tower and burned for more than 19 hours, gutting eight floors before being stopped by automatic sprinklers. The building remained vacant for years due to concerns about its structural integrity and was ultimately demolished.
