GMS provided structural engineering services to redevelop this 1.25 million square foot, 39-story vintage building in Midtown Manhattan, including re-cladding, reconstructing the lobby, eliminating columns and floors to create interconnected levels and double height spaces. New occupiable terraces were added on three sides of the building and the project greatly improved the building’s energy efficiency. The project is LEED Gold V4 certified and was substantially completed in 2022.
