WallFlowers at Cooper Hewitt Museum

New York, NY

This art installation was placed on the north façade of the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in NYC, right after Thanksgiving 2006 and remained in place until July 29th, 2007. Orange plastic construction netting was used to make two 28’x50’ Scrims. 100 plastic flowers (approximately 3’x3’) adorned each scrim. The scrims were suspended from a temporary steel counterweight structure at the roof in order to avoid damage to the landmark building and to avoid interference with the landscape and access at the ground level.
