University of Rochester – Danforth Dining Hall

Rochester, NY

GMS provided structural engineering for the major renovation of the 1960’s “mess-hall-style” dining hall at U of R. The design provides a food-court experience: the kitchen was totally updated, and hot and cold serving stations were added on the ground floor. Food prep and storage areas in the lower level were updated and additional mechanical equipment was installed on the roof. The 14,500 sf hall serves the entire campus community.
