PS 50 Manhattan – Greenhouse
New York, NY
The greenhouse was constructed within a two story infill at the second floor setback roof. GMS provided structural engineering services for the reinforcement of the original steel framing and design of the new intermediate level, support of the skylight and of the window-wall enclosure. The greenhouse uses a hydroponic growing apparatus, LED lighting and low-impact climate controls.
