MoMA PS1 – Visitors’ Kiosk

Long Island City, NY

This 1,000sf entry structure is built within and supported by the existing architecturally-exposed concrete courtyard walls. The original iron gates were replaced with large glass doors which pivot open to welcome crowds in the summer, and a wide canopy to protect visitors during inclement weather. The intimate area provides spaces for ticketing and announcing upcoming exhibitions.
