The Deerfield Academy’s swimming, diving and squash facility with a 20,000 sq. ft. pool– built in the floodplain – is a jewel box created from curved glue-laminated timber trusses, with galvanized steel connectors, brick and concrete masonry exterior walls on a concrete base. The 100 foot clear span over the pool and bleachers is a three-hinged arch.
