GMS is providing building envelope services for the facade restoration and over-cladding at 59 Maiden Lane. The property consists of an 18-story Legacy Building (1929), a 588′ “Tower” building (1965) and a 630′ “Core” building (1965).
The Tower building will be overclad, covering the Tower’s original brick masonry veneer with a metal and porcelain panelized rain screen system, minimizing demolition to the existing facade and improving the Tower’s energy performance. Our work includes full window replacement on all three 59 Maiden Lane buildings, and an extensive restoration program on the Core building’s glazed masonry cavity wall facade.
