Instituto Cervantes at Amster Yard

GMS provided structural engineering services for this complex project. The original buildings were demolished, the landmark facades were preserved and the courtyard, which replicates the original landmark Amster Yard, was reinstalled above a new basement. All meet the needs of the Instituto, including a new 132-seat auditorium, a 65,000-volume library, a 1,600 sf gallery, classrooms, offices and a wine-tasting room.
