GMS served as both the Structural Engineer and Façade Consultant for this building at Broadway and Houston Street in New York City. The building houses street level retail space and six office floors above. It was constructed above an existing below ground parking facility and the site is bounded on three sides by three different NYCTA subway lines.
In addition to providing the architect with detailed design drawings and specifications for the curtain wall and storefront, GMS undertook an analysis of the façade to confirm compliance with the New York State Energy Conservation Construction Code.
