Tewksbury Police Building
Tewksbury, New Jersey

The design of this new two-story, 12,000 SF building is inspired by the local vernacular architecture of stone, clapboard siding and slate roof. Facilities housed within this building include: police offices, command station, fingerprinting, interrogation rooms, sally port, armory, squad room, training room and on the cellar, first and second floors, temporary municipal offices and conference rooms.

The master plan for the entire 12-acre site complex, included a landscaped public square surrounded by the police building, a municipal facilities building, a future town hall, a rescue squad and library. The rear portions of the site are developed with outdoor materials storage, a salt dome, and a recycling center. GMS provided all structural engineering design services for the project.
