MetroTech, in Downtown Brooklyn, is the nation’s largest urban academic-industrial research park. FDNY Headquarters are located at 9 MetroTech within a seven-story, 317,000 square foot building above one below-grade parking level.
GMS provided the original structural design, incorporating blast resistant design and performed the controlled inspections during construction. Subsequently, we provided structural engineering to review the existing structure and reinforce for new x-ray equipment, new generator, new UPS and a penthouse expansion.
