THE NEW YORK CITY BASED STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING FIRM OF GILSANZ MURRAY STEFICEK ANNOUNCES PROMOTIONS FOR 2008!

Ken Oen, PE, 34, has been promoted to Associate.  He holds a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University.  Prior to joining the firm in 1998, he was a structural engineer at Tectonic Engineering in Orange County, NY.  Oen brings over 11 years experience in working as a structural engineer.
 

David E. Hoy, PE, 51, has joined GMS as an Associate.  Prior to joining GMS, Hoy operated his own structural engineering consulting firm for seven years.  Hoy’s more than twenty years of experience as a structural engineer includes the design of new commercial, institutional and residential buildings, investigations and design of repairs and modifications to a wide variety of structural systems and materials, and historical restoration.  Hoy holds a BS degree in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a BA in Art from State University College of New York at Buffalo.  He is an Allied Professional member of the Central New Jersey AIA chapter, and a member of the Association for Preservation Technology, the Masonry Society, the American Institute of Steel Construction, and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
 

Jill Hrubecky, PE, 34, has been promoted to Associate.  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cornell University.  Prior to joining the firm in 1999, she was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali, West Africa.  She brings over 9 years of experience in working as a structural engineer.


 

On October 5, 2006 Gilsanz Murray Steficek celebrated their 15 year anniversary in the Rotunda of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum. The partners would like to thank our friends who helped commemorate this special event. The link to the left will lead you to photographs taken over the course of the evening.
