John Chamberlain: Choices - Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
New York, New York

The exhibit "Choices" includes many of Chamberlain's sculptures fashioned from vintage automobiles. GMS provided structural analysis and design for the support of one of the exhibit's largest pieces a nearly 20' high sculpture which is installed outside the museum on an elevated platform. The platform supports the sculpture weight and provides stability to the piece during wind events. GMS also assisted the museum fabrication department with the design of a lifting cage to hoist the largest sculptures in the exhibit up onto the ramps.
