The Entrainment Series
Tipp City, Ohio

GMS provided full structural engineering services for the design of three bird-like sculptures located on the campus of the Aileron Center in Ohio.  GMS developed a 3-D Rhino model and worked closely with the artist in developing several variations of trussed tower bases for his review.  Based on our analysis and the use of moveable parts, the wings oscillate in light winds and spin three hundred sixty degrees in a strong gust.  GMS services also designed for the anchorage for the sculpture and the connections between components.
