GMS in CANstruction 2011 - New York

GMS is proud to participate in 2011 CANstruction – New York, the annual competition between engineering and architecture firms to build amazing sculptures from cans of food.  25 CANstructions will be on display from November 10-21, 10 am – 6 pm at the World Financial Center Winter Garden, 220 Vesey Street, New York City. Suggested donation: one can of food.

NepTUNA the HippoCANpus   (2,150 cans tuna plus barley)

hip·po·CAN·pus,  noun pronounced  \hi'-pə-KAN-pəs\

1. noun, New Latin, from the Greek word hippokampos sea horse, from hippos / horse + kampos / sea monster — also pronounced hippoCANpos, meaning "CAN-made" sea monster.   

2. portion of the brain which is involved in forming, storing, and processing memory, such as the restorative powers and faith in humanity of a full belly, which CAN create comforting memories of tasty, nutritional meals shared with friends - while swimming if you are hippoCANpos, or 30 minutes before swimming if you are homo sapien or huCAN.
